Imagos philosophy

core beliefs

soul vs. machine

this is the defining tension of the AI age. the machine commoditizes everything it touches: content, code, strategy, even taste-adjacent pattern matching. what it cannot replicate is soul: the lived experience, the domain obsession, the trust networks, the thing inside someone that makes an entire industry want to follow them.

there are people right now grinding away at status quo jobs that are burning them out. jobs that don't use a fraction of what they're capable of. they have a hit inside them. a business, a movement, a product that only they can build because of their specific intersection of expertise, relationships, and obsession. but they don't have the team to bring it out.

Imagos exists for those people. we find them and assemble the team that makes the hit real. their lives would be 100x better building their thing with the right team than staying on the path they're on.

the hit is inside them already.

Imagos does not bring the billion-dollar idea. the idea (the business, the product, the movement) is already inside the unicorn. they come with the domain expertise, the trust networks, the obsession, the vision. Imagos provides the team and the environment where those ingredients get assembled and pointed.

if you don't believe the hit is already inside the person, you shouldn't work on this project.

the Rick Rubin principle

"I'm not the superpower; you're the superpower in the room."

Rick Rubin doesn't write the songs. he removes the mental blocks. he assembles the conditions for a hit. that's being a super-producer. that's what we do. (in music industry terms, it's also A&R -- but we lead with the producer frame.)

the unicorn has the hit inside them. our job is to remove the obstacles, assemble the right people around them, and let it come out. not to replace their instinct. to amplify it with the right engineer and the right marketer.

the harness

in the AI world, a large language model on its own is not very useful. but with the right scaffolding around it (the harness), it becomes pointed, powerful, directional.

the unicorn is the model. the Pegasus team is the harness. the engineer builds the systems. the marketer builds the audience. together they make the unicorn's vision useful, scalable, and impossible to ignore.

faith as outcome

faith is not a prerequisite. it is an outcome.

the economic pressure right now is forcing people to interrogate themselves. people who would never have considered taking on a new identity are now in a position of humility and curiosity. that's the opening.

Imagos is, in part, a ministry, alchemizing cultural capital and raw human potential into something gold. through the process, people discover not just their business but something deeper. we don't require that coming in. we trust that it emerges.

the great reveal

this is the first time in human history where everyone is aware that everyone else is aware of how broken our civilization's leadership has been. the Epstein revelations, the institutional decay, the performative nature of public figures. this is not conspiracy; it is mass shared context.

this matters for Imagos because: if a person cannot acknowledge how nonsensical the status quo has been, they are unlikely to be grounded in reality enough to succeed in the next reality. acknowledgment of the old world's failure is not optional. it's a prerequisite for building the new one.

unblock the basics first

we don't assume people have already done the low-hanging fruit stuff that can unleash them. sometimes the unlock isn't a framework or a strategy session. it's:

  • a high-powered laptop so they can stay in creative flow
  • an upgraded phone
  • an app that takes meeting notes so they don't forget what God downloaded to them
  • going to the Apple store with them

we are happy to help at this level. the smallest unblock can be the biggest unlock. don't skip over the obvious just because it feels too simple.

fractal representation

we have to fractally represent what we want the rest of the world to look and feel like. if the cofounders burn out, lose their friends, or sacrifice family for impact, the brand is a lie.

absurd impact AND a really good life. not one or the other. that's the design problem we solve for ourselves first, then teach others.

Gary's test: five kids, 15 grandkids, a dining room that fits 30 across generations. if you can't represent holistic humanity that's healthy and multiplying, you haven't built the future. you've just built another version of the thing you were trying to replace.

universal basic empowering culture (UBEC) over UBI

universal basic empowering culture is way more important than universal basic income. people don't just need money. they need support structures and the mindset to step into their divine edge. income without identity transformation is dystopian. Imagos is UBEC infrastructure.

seed planting, not watering

we are seed planters. we are not the water. we are not the end-to-end.

when you know your role is planting the seed, you don't need to over-explain. you say the thing, and it meets the person at their moment. if they catch it, they catch it. if they don't, the seed is still planted for the divine time when it becomes relevant.

this is not being deliberately mysterious. it's knowing that:

  • if you do all the work for someone, they don't transform. the brain work of connecting the dots IS the transformation.
  • a well-placed principle (like "the right partnership is 100x the second best") is a diagnostic tool. how someone responds tells you where they are. their curiosity, their follow-up questions, their reaction reveals their readiness.
  • we are not trying to be everything to every person at all times. we plant, and God waters.

Gary's approach: be direct, share the principle plainly, and let the person do the work of applying it to their situation. not riddles. just truths stated simply enough that the person has to decide what to do with them.

Ron's approach: say less, observe the reaction, diagnose where the person is based on how they respond. every statement is also an inquiry.

both approaches serve the same purpose: respecting the person enough to let them do their own connecting.

the 100x principle

the right partnership is 100x better than the second best partnership. the right opportunity God wants you to take is 100x better than the second best. this applies fractally: to cofounders, to partners, to wives, to investments, to everything.

this means we don't settle for "good enough." we wait for the God-aligned thing, even when the second-best option looks perfectly reasonable. the gap between right and almost-right is not incremental. it's exponential.

sequencing is everything

Ron's personal transformation story: sequencing was not a natural gift. he had to work hard to get good at it (through therapy for executive function challenges). that breakthrough unlocked the life he's living now.

everything is sequencing. everything is a first, second, third, fourth, fifth. you can't do this until you do this. there are steps to make a thing, create a thing, get a result. most people fail not because they lack vision but because they can't sequence the vision into executable steps.

Ron embodies this daily. it's a large part of his commercial value. his own transformation is proof that sequencing can be learned, and it's one of the core things Imagos brings to every partnership.

obedient agility

we believe in the power of parlaying one thing into the next. being flexible enough that when God reveals an opportunity that is deeply aligned and could multiply our path to kingdom dominance, we are obedient to that. we fly over there the next day. we let it snowball in a way that only God can enable.

both things are true: we care about our health and sustainability, AND when the call comes, we move. our work days and how we plan things will not look like other people's. that's by design.

that said, we rigorously write down what we say we're going to do. and when we change what we're going to do, there is a documented reason why. agility without accountability is chaos. obedient agility with documentation is how the kingdom moves fast without losing integrity.

the Pegasus principle

no one 1000x's alone. the human unicorn has taste, vision, domain expertise, trust networks -- the trustworthiness that makes people follow. the applied AI engineer has the capacity to build the infinitely scalable product. the movement builder has the ability to build a cult-like following and make the unicorn impossible to ignore. apart, all three are incomplete. together, they're a Pegasus: a movement masquerading as a tech company.

Imagos is the duo that finds the opportunity and assembles the team. AAS provides the engineering pipeline. Ron's network surfaces the movement talent and the companies worth supercharging. we build the bridge.

movements beat products

a SaaS tool is a commodity. anyone can build one now. but a movement led by a trustworthy person with a cult-like following, powered by an infinitely scalable product that serves that community? that's a generational company. the product is the vehicle, the movement is the moat.

the cost of building the product collapsed overnight. but the cost of trust didn't collapse. the cost of taste didn't collapse. the cost of being the kind of person an entire industry wants to follow didn't collapse. the human elements are worth more than ever precisely because the technical elements got cheaper.

movements masquerading as tech companies

we're not creating companies. we're incubating movements. on paper they look like tech companies -- infinitely scalable products, recurring revenue, scalable infrastructure. but the real value is the movement: the community, the following, the trust in the founder.

the product serves the movement. the movement builder grows the movement. the unicorn leads the movement. together: infinitely scalable, extremely valuable, and impossible to replicate because you can't replicate trust.

kickstarting industries

a movement masquerading as a tech company is powerful. but the endgame is bigger. at the highest level, a Pegasus doesn't just build a company or even a movement. it kickstarts a new industry, or becomes the future of an existing one.

the unicorn doesn't just lead a company. they become the center of gravity for an entire industry. the product defines how that industry operates. the movement becomes the industry's culture. that's what separates a great startup from a generational force.

Imagos helps kickstart those industries and gets rewarded for it. equity and revenue share mean we're aligned with the outcome at the industry level, not just the company level. that's the real prize.

aligned incentives

a Pegasus team where everyone has equity. the engineer builds the product because they own a piece. the movement builder builds the movement because they own a piece. the unicorn leads because the team is in service of their vision. Imagos takes equity because we only win when they win. fully aligned.
